LINCOLN COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT: SUSPECT REMAINS AT LARGE IN TOWN OF SCHLEY FAMILY ALTERCATION

Last Week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 52 traffic stops and 44 security checks. There were two calls involving cars hitting deer, one call where a car hit a turkey, and one call for a car striking a Bald Eagle.

On Wednesday, deputies were dispatched to the Town of Schley regarding a disturbance where Grandfather claimed his Grandson had attacked him with a stick, knocking him to the ground causing him injury. Further investigation by deputies confirmed the victim’s injuries were consistent with being hit by a stick. The suspect left the scene prior to deputies arriving and remains at large. A charge of intent bodily harm to an elderly person has been sent to the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office.
